Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using the
"Veditist" application ("Service") provided by Shohei Nakagawa
("Developer"). Please read these Terms carefully and agree to them
before using the Service.
Definitions
- "User": Anyone who uses the Service.
-
"Conversion Function": Functions that process a selected video and
create an output video with settings chosen by the User.
-
"Output Video": A video file created by the Conversion Function and
saved to a location selected by the User.
-
"Personal Information": Information that can identify a specific
individual such as name, address, phone number, or email address.
Consent to the Terms
Users may use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms. When a
User downloads the Service to a smartphone or other device and completes
the procedure to agree to these Terms, a usage agreement under these
Terms is deemed to have been concluded between the User and the
Developer.
Changes to the Terms
The Developer may change these Terms without the User's prior consent.
The revised Terms will take effect when the Developer notifies Users by
a method separately prescribed by the Developer. If a User continues to
use the Service after such changes, the User is deemed to have agreed to
the revised Terms.
Notices
-
The Service is a video conversion tool. It does not guarantee that an
output video will be compatible with every device, app, or service.
-
The User is responsible for checking that they have the right to use
and convert each selected video.
-
The User is responsible for checking the output before sharing or
publishing it.
Video Conversion
-
The Service processes selected videos on the User's device and can
change playback speed, direction, frame rate, and compression
settings.
-
Conversion time, output quality, file size, and compatibility may
vary depending on the source video and device conditions.
-
The Conversion Function requires permission to access the selected
photo-library videos. Saving an Output Video requires permission to
add items to the photo library.
-
The Developer is not responsible for loss or corruption of source or
output files caused by the User's device, storage, or other software.
-
The User should keep a backup of important source files and Output
Videos.
Privacy and Data Handling
-
To improve the Service, the Developer collects usage data (screen
views, feature usage, etc.) and crash information through a
third-party analytics service (Firebase, provided by Google LLC). Such
data is managed under a random user ID generated by the app and is not
linked to personally identifiable information such as the User's name.
-
By tapping "Get started" on first launch, the User consents to the
sending of usage data. The User may stop sending usage data at any
time from "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Share Usage Data" in the app.
-
To process and manage in-app purchases, the status of purchases and
subscriptions is managed through a service provided by RevenueCat,
Inc.
-
Video files selected for conversion are processed locally by the app's
conversion feature and are not uploaded to the Developer's servers by
that feature.
- For further details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
Prohibited Acts
- Using the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Any other acts the Developer deems inappropriate.
Disclaimer
-
The Developer shall bear no responsibility for disputes concerning
the User's right to use source videos or for issues arising from the
User's use of an Output Video.
-
The Developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from
conversion errors, unexpected output quality, or loss or corruption
of source or output files.
-
The Developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from changes
to, interruption of, or termination of the Service.
